Gamueda/ Coburn Wedding

June 10, 2013

Dear Loves,

Back in February 24, 2013 I was asked to assist a wedding with my fellow colleagues at FLAWLESS WEDDINGS AND EVENTS. When I made my decision to come back to the wedding industry after years away from it, I met the ladies at Flawless and they took me in as an intern and allowed me to assist them at Weddings and Bridal Shows. I’m am so grateful to have met and worked with such amazing ladies as these Flawless ladies 🙂

I would describe this wedding as a Beach Wedding with a twist. We met this bride at a local Bridal Show and if you have never been to a bridal show, I highly suggest you attend at lease 1 for experience. When you register as a Bride, you automatically enter as a contestant to win a Grand Prize. Can you guess what the Grand Prize is?..  A FULLY PAID WEDDING.. yup!! That’s right.. a FREE wedding. And this couple was the lucky couple that got it!! Lucky them right?

Their beautiful day started and ended at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach. With the ceremony outside overlooking the beach, it was certainly a beautiful sight to see. With just close friends and family, this small wedding couldn’t be any sweeter. With just sweet simple details added to the decor, this wedding was a touch down. Congratulations to the couple and may they be more in love than ever.

Hazel & Allan Wedding

June 2, 2013

Dear Loves,

I am honored to introduce my first couple in this crazy wedding industry, Hazel and Allan. Back in early 2011, I was still in college finishing up my last few credits and to my surprise, my sister said her friends just got engaged and were planning on tying the knot in September of 2011. At that time we were all acquaintances with my sister as our mutual friend. As months flew by, my sister would update me on the progress of the couple’s wedding planning. On a random given day, she said to me, “they need help with certain things and coordinating the wedding”. I remember the first things that came out of my mouth were, ” I WANT TO HELP OUT!! I CAN HELP OUT!!” Without thinking, I volunteered myself as their Wedding Coordinator, and thus truly finding my passion from this first experience.

The Tolentino’s wedding started out at the Hilton Hotel in Long Beach CA, where both parties were getting ready and waiting for the arrival of their limo to chauffeur them to their ceremony site. Their ceremony was held at St. Cornelius Catholic Church also in Long Beach, CA. With just close friends and family, this sweet moment touched my heart in all the right places, nearly tearing me up. Just by the look on Allan’s face when the doors opened for Hazel’s walk.. absolutely priceless <3.

The reception was then held back at the Hilton Hotel where the couple was getting ready in the morning. Hazel has this love for butterflies and although she was nervous about making her wedding look and feel too school-girl like, everything turned out better than expected. She had little butterflies lying in random areas, even her table numbers had names of different butterflies making it easy for guests to locate their seats. Their centerpieces were designed with their colors (Tiffany Blue and Brown); Blue Hydrangeas hanging on Manzanita trees. Their wedding cake was also filled with blue butterflies and brown streams. Overall this wedding was such a success, a happily married couple with happy dancing companies. How perfect is that.

To my surprise, I was proud of myself for really putting everything together without any past experience. I am forever grateful for their trust in me and for allowing me to be a part of their beautiful day. We have now moved from being acquaintances to now friends .. YAY!!! Here are pictures of their lovely day taken by another good friend of ours Mariemil and Paolo of Maolo Photography. It was so great working with these photographers as they helped walk me through the process and even helped me set up when I was alone with minimal assistance. Check out their work and their eye for detail. I am forever filled with love for both couples. It’s because of them I came back to weddings after a few years of finding my calling 🙂 Enjoy these wonderful pictures.

What’s Your Shape?

Whats Your Fit?
Whats Your Fit? by bchhuor featuring beaded wedding gowns
Dear Loves,
I’m back after a few weeks off. It’s always nice to take some time away from your daily life and snap into the outside world.
Anyhow, during my time away, I hung out with some friends and we somehow ended up talking about weddings and wedding dresses and more wedding ideas. But our main topic was the wedding dress. One of my girlfriends asked.. “how do you know what dress fits your body type? There’s so many selections out there, how do you know which ones to pick and choose from?”
I’ve noticed many brides tend to have the same wedding dress issues concerning which style best matches their figure. We’re all created differently but we each have our own flattering curves to show off on our day.. its just a matter of how you show it off. Most brides to be already have an idea of what dress they’ll be strutting down the aisle but to those who have little to no clue.. don’t you worry child.. this post is directed towards you.. and of course to all the future brides out there.
So.. before we get into which style best matches your body type, lets first figure out what your body shape is. There are 4 different body shapes in a woman’s figure:
1. Straight/ Petite Figures (No shape whatsoever.. boyish figure)
2. Apple Shaped Figures (Ladies with knockers)
3. Pear Shape Figures (Ladies with hips that don’t lie)
4. The Hourglass Figures (A mix of both Apples and Pears with very tiny waist)
So once you’ve identified your shape, figuring out your PERFECT DRESS is that much easier.

Puppy L.O.V.E <3

Dear Loves,
Who doesn’t need some PUPPY LOVIN??
Today’s inspiration comes from our four legged lovers, our pets!! Lately, more couples are getting each other pets as gifts and of course treating them like they are their “kids”. How cute right? So it’s really no surprise when couples think of incorporating their “kids”into their weddings.
Dress them up in tuxes, dresses, leis and any other accessories you can think of to include them into your big day.
Some couples have their pets walk down the aisles as a ring bearer alone (if they are that cooperative :)) and or as flower girls (just without the tossing of petals :)) Others will have their pets be carried or walked down the aisle by any of the parents or any additions to the entourage.
I think this is such a cute idea to include your four legged friends into your big day. It sweetens your day and ahhh’s your photo’s and crowd that much more. Here are a few pictures to fall in love with.

Spring Inspired Weddings <3

Spring Inspired Weddings by bchhuor featuring prom long dresses
Dear Loves,
Guess what.. it’s finally SPRING TIME!! It’s only THE best season ever!!!! This is obviously my most favored season only because we get such perfect weather (SoCal love<3)  (its not too hot and not too cold), the flowers are blossoming, the sunsets at 9 🙂 , and everything is absolutely colorful! All the colors that reflect the sunshine is now in season. Everyday is a sunny day in spring.. the only down falls are spring cleaning (yuck) and of course.. spring allergies. But those are just short term downfalls. Anyhow, today’s inspiration is SPRING SEASON!!!
If you love colors and sunshine with breezy weather, this is the wedding season fit for you. Dress up your day with PASTEL color linens, PASTEL bridesmaids dresses, PASTEL colored flowers, (peonies :)), PASTEL EVERYTHING!!! Ok maybe not everything :)..if its not an Easter Themed Wedding…lets not go crazy with the PASTELS. Soft colors are definitely colors you want to go for when it comes to a spring wedding. Keep it simple by accenting your primary eye catchers like your centerpieces, favors, bridesmaids dresses, wedding cake.. whatever you want attention on the most, accent those with your primary wedding colors. Leave the rest the neutral and or white. Too much pastel will look like an Easter egg hunt rather than your wedding.
Here are just a few PINTEREST idesas to think about..
Belle the Magazine-- spring weddings
Belle the Magazine 2-- spring weddings
 Beverly Roybal--Spring weddings
everythingfab.com spring wedding
the roche studio spring weddings
The softer the color the brighter the photo. So there you go.. my Spring Inspired Wedding board. There’s so much you can do with these colors and ideas. Make sure not to overkill it with those PASTELS though,
Happy Spring Coloring,

Equal rights = Equal Love

Equal rights = Equal Love
Equal rights = Equal Love by bchhuor on Polyvore
Dear Loves,
So I know I’m a bit late on this equal marriage memo that’s been spreading around all of every social media we can think of. But its never too late to still support such a cause as this right? Lets take a moment away from all the fun and creative stuff and focus on something important:
We live in a world where traditional and religious values are sacred and if it were ever crossed, a wave of judgments would instantly fill the room.  We, Americans, live in a society where we were given the right to express OUR rights and OUR speech and we are given the chance to be the voices of our governments and not the governments voices over WE THE PEOPLE.
“Marriage is the unity of a MAN and a WOMEN, not a MAN and a MAN, or a WOMAN and a WOMAN”
“Marriage… the unity of a MAN and a WOMAN .. rearing of children with in a family…”
“Divorce rate are already at its height, allowing same sex marriage would only further increase the divorce rates..”
“Gay Marriage can potentially lead to polygamous, incestuous, bestial, and other nontraditional relationships…”
The words of our government… ladies and gents.  Read the rest of this entry »

~Something New, Something Sweet~

March 27, 2013

How adorable are is this couple<3

Dear Loves..

Sorry again for the delay on these posts. I’ve been swamped with many different projects that are in the making. Anyhow.. today’s inspiration comes from my random sweet tooth splurge for something and anything sweet. And what better way to incorporate something sweet in your wedding than the wedding cake itself right?

So many brides today are stepping out of the traditional wedding ideas and jumping into a more modern outlook on their grand day. Instead of the usual 3 or 4 tier wedding cakes with flowers flowing all around the display, some brides have turned to the ideas of CAKE POPS and or CUPCAKES.  Read the rest of this entry »
