What’s Your Shape?

Whats Your Fit?
Whats Your Fit? by bchhuor featuring beaded wedding gowns
Dear Loves,
I’m back after a few weeks off. It’s always nice to take some time away from your daily life and snap into the outside world.
Anyhow, during my time away, I hung out with some friends and we somehow ended up talking about weddings and wedding dresses and more wedding ideas. But our main topic was the wedding dress. One of my girlfriends asked.. “how do you know what dress fits your body type? There’s so many selections out there, how do you know which ones to pick and choose from?”
I’ve noticed many brides tend to have the same wedding dress issues concerning which style best matches their figure. We’re all created differently but we each have our own flattering curves to show off on our day.. its just a matter of how you show it off. Most brides to be already have an idea of what dress they’ll be strutting down the aisle but to those who have little to no clue.. don’t you worry child.. this post is directed towards you.. and of course to all the future brides out there.
So.. before we get into which style best matches your body type, lets first figure out what your body shape is. There are 4 different body shapes in a woman’s figure:
1. Straight/ Petite Figures (No shape whatsoever.. boyish figure)
2. Apple Shaped Figures (Ladies with knockers)
3. Pear Shape Figures (Ladies with hips that don’t lie)
4. The Hourglass Figures (A mix of both Apples and Pears with very tiny waist)
So once you’ve identified your shape, figuring out your PERFECT DRESS is that much easier.

Wedding Dresses Vol.2

March 13, 2013

Dear Loves,

So I’ve been doing a ton of wedding business lately and hopefully this craziness continues. Can I just say how blessed I am to be working in an industry that I absolutely love. Creating a sketched imagination and bringing it altogether for a couples new beginning is the best gift I can give back to someone who truly trusted me with their big day.

Anyhow. this post is going to be really short with mainly just pictures. I’ve been going to bridal shows and meeting new brides and vendors and I’ve seen and came across many new ideas. The latest one that I attended was in Santa Monica on a hotel Penthouse. Such a great view to be working with. Anyhow there was a fashion show that was incorporated into the bridal show itself and these dresses were AMAZING!!! The trend at this bridal show was backless and again LACE!!!

So, here are pictures up front and personal for you to fall in love with!!!

Happy Dress up ❤

2013 Wedding Dress Trends <3

February 20, 2013

Dear Loves,

Today’s inspiration is..FASHION.. and what better way to look at fashion than to stare at wedding dress all day right?? I’ve mentioned this before.. (I think I have.. ) but I work at a Event and Wedding company out in Brea, CA called Flawless Weddings and Events (awesome company to work with). Anyhow.. I just started working with them for the past 2 months and I’ve been attending bridal shows to show case our services. A few hours into these Bridal Expos, there’s always a fashion show showcasing the very latest bridal gowns. 2 weekends ago there was an expo held at the Long Beach Convention Center with about 20 different vendors working together to make big dreams come true. We were lucky to have our booth close to the stage where models walked and strutted their gowns in front of what seemed to be about 400 hundred brides and her entourages (roughly of course).

As I watched the fashion show I noticed a trend that was happening with all these gowns ..LACE and OFF WHITE GOWNS have now become the go to trends of 2013. Read the rest of this entry ?

Vera Wang Fall 2012 Collection (Black Wedding Gowns)

Vera Wang Fall Collection 2012 (Black Wedding Gowns)
Vera Wang Fall Collection 2012 (Black Wedding Gowns) by bchhuor on Polyvore
Dear Loves,
Today’s inspiration comes from designer Wedding Gown herself, Vera Wang. I was watching a show last night and this bride wanted a Vera Wang dress more than anything and then I remembered seeing Vera’s line of Black Bridal Dresses. At first when I saw the collection.. there were many questions and comments running through my mind. Then I found myself really at ahh with this collection. Something about this line really changed my mind and point of view of this collection  (besides the obvious of course :)). It’s not as bad as it seems or sounds. Her cut and detailed lines really soften the harsh dark color making the gown just as sweet and elegant as her other lines. If you really take a look at the dress and focus on the art work that is done here.. you can really see how elegant this collection really is. Yes its black and I’m not sure who would actually wear a Black Wedding Dress on their special day but if there are any brides out there who really wants a NON TRADITIONAL wedding gown.. consider Vera Wang’s line please!! I don’t think any other Black Wedding Dress will be as gorgeous and as impressive as this line. Like I said.. the textures, detailing and lining of this unique idea makes up for the Black.
On the bright side.. if you do decide to go with a Black Wedding Dress, this gives you a chance to be more creative with all the other fun stuff. Since black goes with everything, be creative and get colorful with this style. Choose dark contrasting colors to play up your centerpieces and your bouquets. Add rhinestones to complete the elegance of the wedding. But don’t go crazy with the dark color or the darkness of the theme cause if may turn out to be a Halloween party or wedding (unless that’s what you were going for.. then cheers to you  :)). Definitely consider using as much rhinestones as possible.. that will soften the harsh dark colors used in the wedding.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE David Tutera and I’m always watching his show for tips and advice.. So to all my future dark goth-like brides.. here are a few tips to plan your big day from David Tutera himself.
Take it from the pro himself.. otherwise you risk turning your wedding into a Halloween Party.
Hope you ladies enjoyed this Black Wedding Gown segment.. remember to be creative and imaginative.
Good Luck and Have fun ❤
Happy Imaginations ❤
