What’s Your Shape?

April 22, 2013
Whats Your Fit?
Whats Your Fit? by bchhuor featuring beaded wedding gowns
Dear Loves,
I’m back after a few weeks off. It’s always nice to take some time away from your daily life and snap into the outside world.
Anyhow, during my time away, I hung out with some friends and we somehow ended up talking about weddings and wedding dresses and more wedding ideas. But our main topic was the wedding dress. One of my girlfriends asked.. “how do you know what dress fits your body type? There’s so many selections out there, how do you know which ones to pick and choose from?”
I’ve noticed many brides tend to have the same wedding dress issues concerning which style best matches their figure. We’re all created differently but we each have our own flattering curves to show off on our day.. its just a matter of how you show it off. Most brides to be already have an idea of what dress they’ll be strutting down the aisle but to those who have little to no clue.. don’t you worry child.. this post is directed towards you.. and of course to all the future brides out there.
So.. before we get into which style best matches your body type, lets first figure out what your body shape is. There are 4 different body shapes in a woman’s figure:
1. Straight/ Petite Figures (No shape whatsoever.. boyish figure)
2. Apple Shaped Figures (Ladies with knockers)
3. Pear Shape Figures (Ladies with hips that don’t lie)
4. The Hourglass Figures (A mix of both Apples and Pears with very tiny waist)
So once you’ve identified your shape, figuring out your PERFECT DRESS is that much easier.

Puppy L.O.V.E <3

Dear Loves,
Who doesn’t need some PUPPY LOVIN??
Today’s inspiration comes from our four legged lovers, our pets!! Lately, more couples are getting each other pets as gifts and of course treating them like they are their “kids”. How cute right? So it’s really no surprise when couples think of incorporating their “kids”into their weddings.
Dress them up in tuxes, dresses, leis and any other accessories you can think of to include them into your big day.
Some couples have their pets walk down the aisles as a ring bearer alone (if they are that cooperative :)) and or as flower girls (just without the tossing of petals :)) Others will have their pets be carried or walked down the aisle by any of the parents or any additions to the entourage.
I think this is such a cute idea to include your four legged friends into your big day. It sweetens your day and ahhh’s your photo’s and crowd that much more. Here are a few pictures to fall in love with.

I don’t know about you but these pictures made me laugh and cry and ahhhh and all of the above! What do you think?? Would you include your pets into your wedding?? Comment below and let me know what your think. Feel free to include a picture of your pets under this post as well.
Happy Puppy Loving ❤

Spring Inspired Weddings <3

Spring Inspired Weddings
Spring Inspired Weddings by bchhuor featuring prom long dresses
Dear Loves,
Guess what.. it’s finally SPRING TIME!! It’s only THE best season ever!!!! This is obviously my most favored season only because we get such perfect weather (SoCal love<3)  (its not too hot and not too cold), the flowers are blossoming, the sunsets at 9 🙂 , and everything is absolutely colorful! All the colors that reflect the sunshine is now in season. Everyday is a sunny day in spring.. the only down falls are spring cleaning (yuck) and of course.. spring allergies. But those are just short term downfalls. Anyhow, today’s inspiration is SPRING SEASON!!!
If you love colors and sunshine with breezy weather, this is the wedding season fit for you. Dress up your day with PASTEL color linens, PASTEL bridesmaids dresses, PASTEL colored flowers, (peonies :)), PASTEL EVERYTHING!!! Ok maybe not everything :)..if its not an Easter Themed Wedding…lets not go crazy with the PASTELS. Soft colors are definitely colors you want to go for when it comes to a spring wedding. Keep it simple by accenting your primary eye catchers like your centerpieces, favors, bridesmaids dresses, wedding cake.. whatever you want attention on the most, accent those with your primary wedding colors. Leave the rest the neutral and or white. Too much pastel will look like an Easter egg hunt rather than your wedding.
Here are just a few PINTEREST idesas to think about..
Belle the Magazine-- spring weddings
Belle the Magazine 2-- spring weddings
 Beverly Roybal--Spring weddings
everythingfab.com spring wedding
the roche studio spring weddings
The softer the color the brighter the photo. So there you go.. my Spring Inspired Wedding board. There’s so much you can do with these colors and ideas. Make sure not to overkill it with those PASTELS though,
Happy Spring Coloring,

Equal rights = Equal Love

March 28, 2013
Equal rights = Equal Love
Equal rights = Equal Love by bchhuor on Polyvore
Dear Loves,
So I know I’m a bit late on this equal marriage memo that’s been spreading around all of every social media we can think of. But its never too late to still support such a cause as this right? Lets take a moment away from all the fun and creative stuff and focus on something important:
EQUAL LOVE
We live in a world where traditional and religious values are sacred and if it were ever crossed, a wave of judgments would instantly fill the room.  We, Americans, live in a society where we were given the right to express OUR rights and OUR speech and we are given the chance to be the voices of our governments and not the governments voices over WE THE PEOPLE.
“Marriage is the unity of a MAN and a WOMEN, not a MAN and a MAN, or a WOMAN and a WOMAN”
“Marriage… the unity of a MAN and a WOMAN .. rearing of children with in a family…”
“Divorce rate are already at its height, allowing same sex marriage would only further increase the divorce rates..”
“Gay Marriage can potentially lead to polygamous, incestuous, bestial, and other nontraditional relationships…”
The words of our government… ladies and gents.  Read the rest of this entry ?

A Minty Fresh Green Wedding

March 15, 2013
A Minty Fresh Green Wedding
A Minty Fresh Green Wedding by bchhuor featuring shoes
Dear Loves,
Second post for the week.. crazy right?? hehe .. I’m up late trying to keep up with life outside of work.. hopefully it pays off..
Anyhow.. today’s inspiration comes from St. Patty’s Day that’s coming up. (don’t forget to wear green or risk getting pinched a few times :)) Lately I’ve been seeing a whole lot of mint green everywhere.. I first started loving mint green back in grade school.. and kids thought I was weird cause that color just wasn’t in then.. if I could go back in time and stick my tongue out at every one of them I totally would right now.. 🙂 just kidding.. 😉 but on a serious note.. I’m so happy that Mint green is now the it color in fashion, decor, and now weddings!!! When the color green comes up.. we all think its hard to match because its such a loud and bold color that whatever color scheme we try to match it with, it wouldn’t match well at all. Lets think again.. if you have a bold color, always tone it down with a softer pastel color or if worst comes to worst.. opt for the nude or taupe.. Trust me.. those colors will always be the go-to-run-to colors for a very long time.
I’m so in love with this green I can’t express to you how excited I was to make this post for you. Mint green can be used in many different ways with many neutral colors.
First off ladies.. your bridesmaid’s dresses..
Don’t be afraid to play with style.. Short mint green dresses can be seen as a 50’s dress (which is super cute) and long maxi mint green dresses.. well some styles can be pulled off by every height.. but some should stay on taller gals.. only because the color is so soft and bright that it can take away from your figure and drain you in all that mint. But play with the different styles.
Decor:
You definitely want to keep the mint green to a minimal because you want to showcase all your favors and flowers.. not just the mint green.. again.. keep it simple so that you don’t take the attention away from all the other details other than the green.
Grooms and Groomsmen:
Grey Grey Grey!!!!!! Keep it as soft as possible… Black can come off too harsh that it distracts from the mint green. Grey is such an awesome color because it matches every color without making it look so loud. Bow tie it, skinny it up, or just a traditional tie will do for your charming men.
Favors and all the other good stuff:
Be creative and think of what Mint Green reminds you of..cupcakes? ice cream? mints?.. Mint Green is seen as a rustic type of theme.. almost shabby chic with just very minimal shabby in it. Play with your ideas and you’ll come up with something cute and minty 🙂
This color is best with an outdoor daytime event rather than a night time reception only because the color is so soft it wouldn’t stand out as nice in pictures at night than it would during the daytime.
So there you go ladies and gents!!!:)
Be inspired and get creative…
Happy MINTY FRESHNESS ❤

2013: Year of the Snake

February 18, 2013
2013 Chinese New Year.. Year of the Snake
2013 Chinese New Year.. Year of the Snake by bchhuor on Polyvore
Dear Loves,
Sorry for the posting “delays”.. Life happens as you all know it 🙂
Anyhow.. today’s inspiration is… CHINESE NEW YEAR! Happy New Year to all my fellow Asians out there and to those who celebrated the day with us just because :). This year is the year of the Snake which means ” The Snake is the intuitive, introspective, refined and collected of the Animal Signs. They are attractive people who take cries with ease and do not become flustered easily. They are graceful people, exciting and dark at the same time.” (more info on the Snake and other Chinese Horoscopes can be found on http://www.usbridalguide.com).
Each and every New Years Eve, my family and I will always get together for lunch and dinner with homemade goodies made by Chef mommy and Sous Chef sister. Always great food with great company and of course all the unmarried kids await for the most anticipated “RED ENVELOPE”. If you guys have no idea what this Red Envelope is, (shame on you 🙂 I kid I kid!!) the Red Envelops is a tradition passed down from ancestors to ancestors. Given by the Elders to the children in the family, each envelop represents great future, health and prosperity. It could possibly mean other things.. but from what I know that is what the Red Envelops mainly represent. Inside these envelops are, almost always, money with whatever amount the adult decides to throw in. These envelops are given to children and young adults up until either they are married or are 21 depending on what they’re parents believe in. Me.. well lets just say I’m not 21 nor am I married (not even close:(  ).. it’s a win win situation for me 🙂 Read the rest of this entry ?

Flowers.. What Do They Mean Anyway??

Flowers.. What Do They Mean Anyway??
Flowers.. What Do They Mean Anyway?? by bchhuor on Polyvore
Dear Loves..
It’s been a while since I last posted!! I was on a streak.. posting everyday and then I crashed haha.. But no fear I’m back!! Not sure who is really looking at my blogs but whoever you are.. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING A BIT OF A SLIGHT INTEREST 🙂
So anyways.. today’s inspiration comes from the one thing that makes me super oober happy in life and thats.. FLOWERS! There’s something about flowers that just brightens my day.. not matter what type of flower it may be or what the occasion is/was.. when my eyes have wondered over to the blossoms of flowers.. I’m instantly happy like instant coffee.. haha.. that was lame.. 🙂
This weekend I finally got the chance to check out the Los Angeles Flower Market which is the most popular flower distribution in the area. I swear.. I was like a fat kid in all kinds of candy shop.. like Willy Wonka without the candies. It was like Costco on crack with just flowers on top of flowers. I can’t express to you how happy I was the minute I set foot in there. The only down fall is the waking up part. I guess you have to go as early as possible since the popular flowers sell out fast and they close by 12 pm. But trust me.. if you appreciate flowers the way I do then waking up at the butt crack of dawn is well worth it.
As I was walking around this wonderful warehouse with one of my girlfriends, I started to wonder.. there are so many different kinds of flowers how do florists remember their names. Then I came across a florist who was explaining to a buyer what the flowers she was purchasing meant. So then I started thinking.. what do certain flowers mean.. and that’s where this inspiration came from. Each of these beauties not only come from a common family but all have meaning to them. Some, like the rose family, are color coordinated.. how cool is that? Then I started doing some research on my own to really figure out what some of the flowers that I adore mean. (all my research on flowers are courtesy of aboutflowers.com)
Lately I’ve been obsessed with Peonies… like madly obsessed with them. To me, they have this sweet, simple elegance to the them and their puffiness along with their scents adds character as well. Along with the Peonies, I absolutely love Calla Lillie’s, Billy Balls, Gingers, Orchids, and so much more.. its too long to list..haha. Here are a few of favorites used as centerpieces and bouquets and what they really mean.
