What’s Your Shape?

April 22, 2013
Whats Your Fit?
Whats Your Fit? by bchhuor featuring beaded wedding gowns
Dear Loves,
I’m back after a few weeks off. It’s always nice to take some time away from your daily life and snap into the outside world.
Anyhow, during my time away, I hung out with some friends and we somehow ended up talking about weddings and wedding dresses and more wedding ideas. But our main topic was the wedding dress. One of my girlfriends asked.. “how do you know what dress fits your body type? There’s so many selections out there, how do you know which ones to pick and choose from?”
I’ve noticed many brides tend to have the same wedding dress issues concerning which style best matches their figure. We’re all created differently but we each have our own flattering curves to show off on our day.. its just a matter of how you show it off. Most brides to be already have an idea of what dress they’ll be strutting down the aisle but to those who have little to no clue.. don’t you worry child.. this post is directed towards you.. and of course to all the future brides out there.
So.. before we get into which style best matches your body type, lets first figure out what your body shape is. There are 4 different body shapes in a woman’s figure:
1. Straight/ Petite Figures (No shape whatsoever.. boyish figure)
2. Apple Shaped Figures (Ladies with knockers)
3. Pear Shape Figures (Ladies with hips that don’t lie)
4. The Hourglass Figures (A mix of both Apples and Pears with very tiny waist)
So once you’ve identified your shape, figuring out your PERFECT DRESS is that much easier.

Vera Wang Fall 2012 Collection (Black Wedding Gowns)

Vera Wang Fall Collection 2012 (Black Wedding Gowns)
Vera Wang Fall Collection 2012 (Black Wedding Gowns) by bchhuor on Polyvore
Dear Loves,
Today’s inspiration comes from designer Wedding Gown herself, Vera Wang. I was watching a show last night and this bride wanted a Vera Wang dress more than anything and then I remembered seeing Vera’s line of Black Bridal Dresses. At first when I saw the collection.. there were many questions and comments running through my mind. Then I found myself really at ahh with this collection. Something about this line really changed my mind and point of view of this collection  (besides the obvious of course :)). It’s not as bad as it seems or sounds. Her cut and detailed lines really soften the harsh dark color making the gown just as sweet and elegant as her other lines. If you really take a look at the dress and focus on the art work that is done here.. you can really see how elegant this collection really is. Yes its black and I’m not sure who would actually wear a Black Wedding Dress on their special day but if there are any brides out there who really wants a NON TRADITIONAL wedding gown.. consider Vera Wang’s line please!! I don’t think any other Black Wedding Dress will be as gorgeous and as impressive as this line. Like I said.. the textures, detailing and lining of this unique idea makes up for the Black.
On the bright side.. if you do decide to go with a Black Wedding Dress, this gives you a chance to be more creative with all the other fun stuff. Since black goes with everything, be creative and get colorful with this style. Choose dark contrasting colors to play up your centerpieces and your bouquets. Add rhinestones to complete the elegance of the wedding. But don’t go crazy with the dark color or the darkness of the theme cause if may turn out to be a Halloween party or wedding (unless that’s what you were going for.. then cheers to you  :)). Definitely consider using as much rhinestones as possible.. that will soften the harsh dark colors used in the wedding.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE David Tutera and I’m always watching his show for tips and advice.. So to all my future dark goth-like brides.. here are a few tips to plan your big day from David Tutera himself.
Take it from the pro himself.. otherwise you risk turning your wedding into a Halloween Party.
Hope you ladies enjoyed this Black Wedding Gown segment.. remember to be creative and imaginative.
Good Luck and Have fun ❤
Happy Imaginations ❤

Bridal Fashion Faux or Bridal Must??

January 26, 2013
Vintage Meets Chic
Vintage Meets Chic by bchhuor featuring hats
Dear Loves,
Today’s inspiration comes from.. well.. my hair… I woke up this morning and my hair was just a complete frizz ball.. which ironically helped me come up with this topic. It’s winter season and ladies.. you know just as well as I do our hair can get kinda crazy sometimes. In the winter season, our hair tends to get either flat or static like and its absolute NO BUENO  right? Anyways.. back to the topic..
Bridal Hair Pieces. Accessorizing is the most important thing when it comes to fashion. It makes up and completes whatever look we are going after. However too much accessory (just like makeup..) can make the wrong statement for your look and it may not even look right therefore turning the attention away from YOU (MRS.)  and onto the other stuff that are on you.
Brides often cannot decided how to wear their hair and its not a surprise.. about 100 other cameras will be on you for a good 10 hours and you want to look your best cause lets face it.. we all would like to do this just one time and its the only time to make it absolutely perfect right? So perfection is a must on the day of.
Traditionally veils (it started off long and as years passed by, it got shorter and shorter) were the fashion trend for brides.. from the different types of Tulles used to the size of the Tulles. Just like how our  fashion quickly changes, bridal fashion changes as well. Going from traditional to a more modern wedding, more and more brides are stepping out of the old school look into the new generation X look. With all the social media that is out there, we are exposed to more vision which helps us create our ideas and imaginations. Brides have gotten more comfortable with expressing their wants and needs which allows them to create the perfect day of their dreams. However there are some brides out there that still love the traditional long veil look and there is of course nothing wrong with that as well.
So to all my daring brides out there.. would you strut these floral head piece on your wedding day instead of the traditional veil? I personally think this alternative veil is a gorgeous look that goes with a soft side bun. If you have a favorite side that compliments you most in pictures , (I favor my left side only cause I have chubby cheeks and this pose helps to minimize my cheeks haha 🙂 ) this would be a great look for you. Not only will all lens be on your head piece but it will also reflect your favored, best side. I also think this look compliments your beauty more because it can soften the look of your hair as well as your makeup. It’s another great statement that completes your beatified, most gorgeous adoring look.
So ladies.. if you (like me) would definitely strut this.. strut this proud.. and to my more traditional ladies who are worried it would look funny on you.. head down to a local accessory store and try one on. You would be amazed at the difference this piece can make on your head and your gown.
TOTAL STRUT ❤
Happy Imagination and Accessorizing  ❤
